Prof. Menton has had a distinguished career spanning several industries. He has applied his engineering and management science background to some of the major problems facing our society: national defense, foreign and military policy, energy development, ecology, strategic and financial planning. Prof. Menton has held management and executive positions in several corporations and has started several businesses of his own. Throughout his career, he has kept close to the academic community, having taught at Cooper Union, Polytechnic University, and Long Island University, where he inaugurated the highly successful graduate program in management engineering. Prof. Menton is the author of several books, has published widely in professional journals, and presented many papers at symposia. He has been a recipient of the Schecter Award for Editing and Writing and has been listed in various Who’s Who and Leaders In American Science.
