The Wall Street program is a 6 Credit Program, held during the first summer session of the relevant academic year. It consists of the following classes:
•    BUS 355: Investment Analysis
•    BUS 366: Money and Institutions

Mission of the program
The Wall Street Summer program aims to create a learning environment that will teach students financial concepts and applications that will result in students developing the skills needed to be an effective Financial Analyst.

What is a financial analyst?
Financial analysts interpret and describe different industries and individual firms, with a focus on a company's financial management of assets, financial performance and investment potential, usually from a fundamental analysis standpoint. The analysts get their information by studying public records and market data. Financial analysts are also referred to as securities analysts and investment analysts.

Where do financial analysts work?
Financial analysts work for banks, investment banks, insurance companies, mutual fund firms, pension fund firms, Hedge fund firms, ratings agencies, securities firms, & financial brokerages.

What to Expect
Student will be expected to utilize multiple financial analysis techniques to interpret, analyze, discuss, and describe various financial aspects of different industries and individual firms, with a focus on a company's financial management of assets, financial performance and investment potential.

Teaching Model
The instructional focus is based on two approaches: learning reinforcement, and active learning. This program will engage students in critical thinking during much of their class time. This requires them to be actively working on case studies and problems in and outside of the classroom, preferably with classmates. Collaborative learning is emphasized. Instructors will connect course objectives to enhance learning.

Principals of Finance or Corporate Finance
